BIOS: You already know Bernie Hayes, Matt Limbert, and Matthew O’Neal who have served so well these last two years.

Here’s a message from Kevin Thumma, who may be new to you:
“For those who don’t know me, I am Kevin Thumma. I served in the USAF from 1974 to 1994. Then I worked in the technology sector from 1994 to 2023. I worked at TaxAct from 2014 to 2023. Coincidentally, when TaxAct was being prepared for sale, they downsized and gave me a pink slip effective on my 67th birthday.
I have been a Republican since I voted for President Reagan. I was a member of the Linn County Central Committee but then moved away to Muscatine County for a while. We tried to get active there and visited a Tea Party event in Burlington as well. We moved back to Linn County in Fall 2015 and rejoined LCRCC after the over-crowded downtown venue in February 2016 when Ted Cruz and Ivanka Trump visited.
I currently serve as Chair for the Advisory Committee. I served as a Precinct Caucus Chair and then as a Caucus Site Chair. I also supported the Election Integrity effort by serving as a Poll Watcher. Taking it to the next level, I then served as a Linn County Poll Worker. Last year, I worked all three elections as the chair for my precinct. I also support the Election Integrity team by performing data analysis and interpretation. This is grassroots politics and I enjoy trying to help make a positive difference.”
